Miercoles.

Wednesday.

The second full day in our OFFICIAL apartment for the semester. There was some misunderstanding and we realized that we cannot stay in our director's house for the semester, which makes sense. So. After a long week of us both being sick and in bed, we realized we have a lot to do still to get things situated.

Today we went to the Centro de Empleos, or resource center, to help out in any we could. We still have not started teaching the workshop, due to issues of it not being publicized enough in the wards and stakes before we got here.

We are pioneers here in Arequipa when it comes to get this workshop up and running.

That makes things frustrating, because we are anxious to get started on it, and we have talked to people who are interested in it and want to come. Today, we basically figured out we could teach the taller twice our whole time here and our directors here in Arequipa would be cool with it.

But, thanks to Jenny Brown, her drive and incredible Spanish fluency skills, we have our schedule lined up for the rest of the semester, ojala.

NEXT WEEK
start teaching the workshop, hopefully.

FEBRUARY
teach the workshops here in Arequipa.

MARCH
travel around Peru and teach the workshops in Puno, Tacna, AND Cuzco, which is home to... MACHU PICCHU!!!!

APRIL
finish up the workshop in Arequipa.

Happenings...
We bought the Peruvian equivalent of Cheerios. Jenny thinks they taste like roses.

Jenny made LEGIT refried beans with some help of a local shop owner, who speaks the indian language. Quechua. So cool!

We found the institute and found out they have dance classes tomorrow. We're going ;).

Our neighbor Gloria who lives above us, secretly wants to control us and teach us how to Peruvian food.

I sometimes imagine her wrinkly, chubby face creeping behind the window and shower curtain every time I walk around the apartment at night. It keeps me on my toes.
